LETTER #1- sheet details cost. LETTERS #2 and #3- unsigned carbon copies and duplicates of agreement between George Morgan and Robbins Co. dated July 28, 1955 noting design and cost of “$94 Per Thousand”. LETTER #4- Robbins Company letterhead dated July 1, 1955 sent to George Morgan of Wander Co. signed in ink “James M. Wallace” mentions samples and corrections. Comes with LETTER #5- to fellow employee on Robbins Co. letterhead from VP regarding defective badges. LETTERS #6 and #7- attached two page letter from Wander Co.’s George E. Morgan dated July 28, 1955 detailing badge specifications and address to send samples for TV commercial. LETTER #8- July 5 telegram from Robbins Co. requesting holding a “Backlog of 50,000 Plastic Pieces”. LETTERS #9 to #11- three page unsigned carbon copy letter dated July 6 to President of Robbins Company from George Morgan concerning “Order of 50,000 Captain Midnight Decoder Badges” requesting a second order of 50,000 badges w/sheet noting badge code numbers. LETTERS #12 to #16- dated between July 7 and Aug. 12 between George Morgan and Robbins Co. fine tuning the final appearance and acceptance of decoder. LETTERS #17 to #44- papers are dated between Sept. 29, 1955 and Aug. 22, 1956. Most are unsigned carbon copies related to decoder promotion, defects, and changes in orders from supplier. A few letters have pencil notes and bit of oxidation here and there from original staples or paper clips. Most are VF/ Exc. Lot also includes 6-1/8x7” thin cardboard SAMPLE SHELF TALKER promoting “Your Amazing Free Silver Dart Decoder “ w/image of decoder and pair of unused coupons stapled in place. This promotes the follow up premium issued in 1957. Blank reverse has glue stains, front has a few ink notes, otherwise Exc.and first we've seen in our 47 years.
