Item Description
From the same set as #874. Bottom margin text reads "Detroit 1910 Summers P." Tiny corner tip off lower left. Pair of 1/16" insect holes, one just to the left of his face and one on his cheek. Some scattered lt. spots overall but the image remains strong and distinct. Summers, nicknamed "Kickapoo Ed" due to his Native American ancestry, was a pitcher for the Detroit Tigers. He played five seasons for Detroit (1908-1912) including World Series appearances in 1908 and 1909. Designated by SGC as being from the "Richard Merkin Collection" and comes with Hake's COA.
