Item Description
Extensive lot of 34 items dating from the company's inception in 1918 through 1925. First is 8.25x11" stock certificate, low issue number of "46" and dated 10/29/1920 w/embossed seal noting "Incorporated 1918." Stock is for three shares and has been signed in ink by Enos Gordon Goudey, President (and founder) and Harold C. DeLong, Treasurer. DeLong would go on to form his own company and issue the 1933 DeLong baseball card series, the only such set they would produce. Lt. aging and handling wear, VF and a great piece for framing. There are also 22 certificate stubs w/inked information and individually numbered between 6 (very low number) and 293 (dated 1919-1925) and nine signed stock receipts for stocks numbered between 16 and 68. Scattered wear/aging, mostly Fine. There is a single "Irrevocable Stock Power Form" filled out in ink and dated 11/8/1919. Final item is 1.75x3.5" business card. Text on front reads "Malcom S. Clark Co. Candy Manufacturers Agents" while back has a real photo of a full box of Goudey's "Oh Boy Gum." Lt. aging, VF. An early and interesting group for this legendary company and from their archives. Their contributions to both Sports and Non-Sports cards is immeasurable.
