Item Description
8x11" book page from c. 1956 and likely about sports stars as other side of page features swimmer Florence Chadwick. Cobb page has "The Georgia Peach" title as well as art image of Cobb at bat. Page has been signed in green ink, w/Cobb adding "1/24/58" date. Named 1911 American League MVP w/a .367 career batting average (the highest ever), Cobb had 54 career steals of home (the most all time), 12 batting titles, including nine in a row from 1907-1915 (again the most all time). Cobb also ranks third all time in stolen bases w/892, second in runs scored w/2,245 and second in career hits w/4,191. Page has two horizontal folds and is lightly aged w/minor corner tip wear. .75" tear at bottom right w/archival tape repair on reverse. VF. Signature is Exc. A wonderful item signed by one of professional baseball's legends. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
