Item Description
13x28" framed display has reverse-painted glass w/large area at center open to reveal paper insert w/large art of pack of "Camel Turkish & Domestic Blend Cigarettes" w/"So Mild..." and "So Good" reverse-painted text at top/bottom. Display also has 13 long oval openings in design to display interchangeable menu board style listings of items for sale and/or prices. This example has "Camels - They're Mild!" text at each corner as well as in three other spots along w/"Tobaccos, Candies, Razor Blades, Cigars" and "Chewing Gum" text, indicating this display likely hung in either a drug store or a newsstand. 1950s. Reverse has heavily worn envelope noting manufacturer as Mirro-Products Company of High Point, NC. Chain on back for hanging. Metal frame has some oxidation. Display sheets have aged and one area w/Camel text has 1" tear. Cigarette pack at center has 6" strip of aging from tape on back, which has pulled paint away at left/right in .5" areas. Some small scattered flakes off reverse-painted areas, not too distracting. Displays Fine overall.
