13-3/8x20" portfolio folder contains seven original pen and ink illustrations by Hank Jankus (1929-1988), who provided the art for 13 covers in his career for various fantasy and science fiction publications. He also did numerous story illustrations between 1979 and 1988. Folder has note in black felt tip pen written/signed by Jankus reading "Patrick, Herein The Four (this has been crossed out in pencil and changed to "9") Illos. For The First Vol. Of Amazing Stories Anthologies. Hank." All art is on onionskin paper w/stiff backing sheets attached and measure between 10.5x18" and 12x19". Titles/authors/designs include - "Peacebringer - Ward Moore" w/sleeping sailors; "Satisfaction Guaranteed - Isaac Asimov" w/man looming over woman; "Chrysalis - Ray Bradbury" w/cracked shell of man; "Skirmish - Clifford D. Simak" w/small robotic creature on desk; "The Metal Man - Jack Williamson" w/nude man set against psychedelic bkg. w/small man; "The Man Who Saw The Future - Edmond Hamiliton" w/chained man seeing future w/towering skyscrapers and airplanes as scowling man looks on; "The Jameson Satellite - Neil R.
