Item Description
14x22" artboard features stunning original pen and ink art by Doug Brown. Brown's art was published in "Spoof" fanzine of the late 1950s and possibly other such publications. Art offered here was unpublished and features rocketship on alien planet w/Flash Gordon-like hero punching pair of aliens as Dale Arden-like woman panics in bkg. Rocky alien spire is topped by tiny vulture creature in distance. Art has been signed at lower right. Corner creasing/foxing w/.75" tear at top left corner and even aging. Fine overall w/VF/Exc. art. This and following three items (#1856-1858) came w/pieces also in this auction personalized to Al Williamson and we believe there was and artist-to-artist connection between the two.
