Item Description
15x22.25" frame w/Plexiglas over archival mat w/8x15.25" opening w/India ink art for six-panel cartoon that was published in Hugh Hefner's short-lived "Trump" magazine. Art features duck hunter and his dog spotting two ducks in the water. Hunter attempts to get them to fly by tossing rock in the water near them and yelling, he and the dog getting progressively frenetic in each panel. In the fifth panel, he finally shoots the ducks, which are revealed to be another hunter's decoys as the man angrily approaches man and his dog. Lower right has been signed in ink by Jack Davis. Comes w/two 4x6" color photos of the artist in his studio holding this original and signing art. While artboard is evenly aged, image area is bright and NM. All original Jack Davis pen and ink art is scarce. Great detailed, humorous cartoon art.
