Thin art board has 3.75x16.5” India ink image area w/Barney in two of three panels for Aug. 21. Barney is trying to get country boy Danny to be nice to Sarah as Lucy Belle stands nearby w/twins wearing coonskin caps. Barney has Lucy go get Sarah and she arrives and is shocked to see Sarah taking a bath in the middle of the day. Signed in ink “DeBeck” in panel three. Complete w/King Features copyright label on front and blue pencil title “A New Custom!” on back along w/a few loose lead pencil sketches. Margins have trace of lt. dust soil, image area will mat and frame to Exc. appearance. Funny and well-drawn w/nice ink work. From the Schechter Family Collection.
