Auction #214 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1007 in auction 214
Item Description
15/16” holed as made. The Lincoln image is what DeWitt designates as Lincoln portrait #1. His image is slightly dark but still quite clear. Emulsion is about 99.9% intact with a tiny pinpoint off the lower right. The Hamlin image has two black marks on his hair and two additional pinpoint dark dots seen mostly just by magnification with one to the left of his left eye and one on his lower left jaw. This piece differs from DeWitt 1860-90 in that there is a period after the name Hamlin. Nice luster on the rims. Fine.
