Item Description
Each of these pieces has a highly embossed Mint luster figural badger at the top with the bar below reading “Wisconsin.” Each has a bar pin on the reverse. The first ribbon is gigantic and measures 11” tall with extensive brass tassels below. This was issued to the “Sergeant At Arms.” Background fabric is somewhat toned but only a few tiny dots of age. A color faded ribbon has a loop suspending 1.5” bronze medal with jugate portraits of McKinley and with TR in Rough Rider uniform. Same identical medal appears on the second piece which is inscribed “Ass’t Sergeant At Arms.” Both of these include the date of “Aug. 8th, 1900” and reverse of each medal shows the state seal in great detail. The second badge is 7.5” tall while the third is 9” tall with gold text “State Central Committee.” This likely had a medal suspension at the top which is now gone. On the first and second pieces the looped ribbons are held together by a straight pin, not original, but serving the purpose to keep the medal in place perfectly. Extremely limited issues and perhaps the first two are unique with these inscriptions.
