Art by Florence Sarah Winship depicts various funny animal characters, many wearing clothing, including main full color images of dog, kitten, alligator, rabbit and giraffe. This art was used for the cover to Whitman coloring book No. 2924-C, ©1957. Artboard has production notations at bottom and printing labels at margins. Margins show some scattered aging/wear but art remains Exc. and comes w/acetate sheet w/painted "Animal Friends To Color" title. This has upper left/right corners folded under w/creasing. Fine. Comes w/file copy of book this cover art was used for, w/cover number crossed out in ink and new "#1324" added. "Do Not Remove From Whitman Editorial Department - Sample Received" stamp at top center. Title page has also had printing information altered, reading "Western Publishing Co. Inc. - Printed In Canada." Back cover has .25" corner tip folded under but book is unused and o/w VF/Exc. From the Whitman Archives.
