Tiny .75x1-1/8" Cuban card distributed w/Mallorquina brand caramels. Cards in this set have bw images printed on stiff photographic paper stock. There are 100 cards in the set, the first 17 feature professional players including a number of Negro League stars while the remaining 83 are Cuban amateurs. Key cards include Pop Lloyd, Martin Dihigo and Willie Foster. This card pictures Eckelson in his Havana Lions uniform, w/team name, his name and card number printed at the bottom. Reverse has company text. Image remains strong and bold. A rather scarce and obscure baseball card issue and this is the only example we have found in the Merkin collection. Designated by SGC as being from the "Richard Merkin Collection" and comes with Hake's COA.
