Item Description
Thin art board has 3-7/8x17-3/8” India ink image area w/five panels for Nov. 7. First panel is all hand lettered text relating to previous story. Barney is in next four panels. He hires southern belle Georgia Lee as a secretary and tells boxer Sully, Barney then dictates a letter to “Rubber Legs Shultzie”, noting “Sully Will Knock You So Cold, You’ll Need Eskimos For Pallbearers” and signs it “Bernard P. Google”. Signed in ink “DeBeck” in panel five. Reverse side has blue pencil title “ The Dictator !”. Complete w/ King Features copyright label on front. Trace of minor dust soil, otherwise clean and Exc. A funny, well drawn example w/nice blue pencil shading and great images of Barney. Schechter Family Collection.
