Item Description
6" long straight razor (9.25" extended) w/ivory handle. Made in Germany and sold by Strutz & Clottu Co. w/"Strutz & Clottu Co. - Chicago, Ill. - Made In Germany" text on one side of blade at base. Other side features crossed baseball bat and ball design and features "Cubs & Sox" text. Produced as a souvenir of the 1906 World Series, which featured a crosstown match-up between the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago White Sox. This was both teams' first trip to the World Series and the only time they met in such a match-up. The White Sox, known as the "Hitless Wonders" after finishing w/the worst team batting average in the AL, beat the Cubs in six games for one of the greatest upsets in World Series history. Razor has lt. aging and wear but is o/w Exc. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
