Item Description
1-7/8x3" candy card from the set of 196 featuring players from the Pacific Coast League. Photo front, blank back. He is shown in his Sacramento Senators uniform. Reverse has aging and typed identification. Front image remains bold. This card is very scarce and the key card in this set. Moses pitched for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1921 until 1922 and was the first full-blooded American Indian to have played in the Major Leagues. Over his two year stay with the Pirates, he was used primarily as a reliever and compiled a record of eight wins and four losses. He went on to play Minor League baseball due to repeated arm injures. He pitched the final game of his professional career on May 1, 1926. Designated by SGC as being from the "Richard Merkin Collection" and comes with Hake's COA.
