Item Description
Large 11x14" original photo. Wonderful image of Paige in pitching stance and wearing his Monarchs uniform. In the background are other Monarchs players in and around the dugout while spectators are in the stands behind this. Attached to bottom center is original paper caption "Leroy 'Satchel' Paige Kansas City Monarchs Pitching Ace - 1943 Borchert Field, Milwaukee." HOF member Paige played for the Monarchs in 1935 and then again from 1939 to 1947. Minor handling wear but totally bright and glossy. Exc. Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
