Item Description
7.25x9.25" silver gelatin matte finish photo on original cardboard mount w/overall size of 12x14". Standing at the center in suit and tie and surrounded by the team is Landis. Also pictured is Paddy O'Connor, a World Series champion w/the 1909 Pittsburgh Pirates. Reverse has ink stamp "From The Studio Of George W. Henzel" w/Pittsfield Mass. address. Lt. aging to mount, VF w/Exc. photo that has bold and sharp image. Landis was the first commissioner of baseball from 1920 until his death in 1944. He is famously remembered in his handling of the Black Sox scandal. He was inducted into the HOF shortly after his death in 1944.
