Item Description
"Starfire" was a short-lived fantasy/sci-fi comics series published by DC Comics. The series only lasted seven issues. Offered here is 11-3/8x17" artboard featuring the original art for cover of issue #7 (the final issue), published Nov. 1977, w/pen and ink image depicting Starfire (not to be confused w/DC's Teen Titan of the same name) in swordfight w/several men as immense alien spider sneaks up behind her. Art by Mike Vosburg w/inks by Vince Colletta. Art has some spots of white correctional fluid and faint preliminary pencils for alternate art. 3.75" crease at upper right corner but art remains VF/Exc. Comes w/reading copy of the comic book this art was produced for.
