Item Description
3.25x5.5" generic postcard postmarked June 6, 1948 with the sender's address in ink on the obverse and the signature of Larry (Yogi) Berra in ink on the reverse. Yogi Berra was a MLB catcher, manager, and coach who played primarily for the New York Yankees for 18 of his 19 seasons. Some of his many career highlights include being an 18 time All-Star, being one of only five players to be named MVP three times, and is a 10 time World Series Champion, more than any other player in history. He was inducted into the Baseball HOF in 1972. Very early Berra signature as 1948 marked only the second full season of Berra's MLB career.  Postcard has scattered light wear and aging. VF-Exc. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
