Item Description
Pair of vellum sheets featuring mixed media original art for 1930s Kellogg's Howie Wing premium promotion. First is prototype sign consisting of two sheets put together, forming 19.75x46" sign prototype. Hand-lettered text at left reads "Your Choice Of Any One Of Theses Three Gifts Free With The Purchase Of Two Packages Kellogg's" w/image of two packages of Kellogg's Corn Flakes and unused pricing area. Additional art shows children playing w/the premiums, w/larger, full color images of "Anti-Aircraft Gun & Targets, Racing Plane Glider" and "18 Inch Model Of The Aircraft Carrier Lexington And 00 Small Model Airplanes." Some penciled notations at top left margin and penciled "Combination 3 Item Poster" at bottom right. Sheets have total of six vertical fold lines and have some aging/wear at margins where the sheets joined w/.75" and 1.5" tears at center. Scattered handling wear w/moderate margin wear along top of left sheet. VG/Fine overall. Comes w/18x22.75" sheet featuring prototype original art for Lexington aircraft carrier premium. This includes images of "Model Of The Aircraft Carrier Lexington And 3rd Dimension Models Of Airplanes To Put On Deck." Three vertical folds w/some scattered handling wear/aging. Fine overall. Both are unique. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
