Item Description
3" dia. circular cardboard/paper prototype w/mixed media original art on both sides. Prototype premium for Libby's canned vegetables; this is No. 5 of a proposed set of 12. 1950s. One side shows "Robin Hood Fights The Friar" scene while back features hand-lettered text label as it would appear on the actual premium. Back features small Robin Hood portrait w/text reads in part "Free! Colorful Robin Hood Cloth Patch With Purchase Of This Can Of Libby's Sweet Peas." Label also has hand-lettered area of instructions and blank circle for price. Small spot of surface paper lift at top center of back, but o/w prototype remains clean and VF/Exc. Unique. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
