Item Description
Pair of 13.75x16.5" sheets w/mixed media original art for two different signs promoting Burry's Cookies premium gun and target set. 1950s. Burry's issued different Hopalong Cassidy items including trading cards, badges and box cut-outs. Two sheets glued together w/top sheet featuring wonderfully illustrated prototype of sign showing image of premium gun w/Hoppy portrait grips shooting rubberband towards series of Western targets. Lower right corner has image of package of Burry's Cookies w/Hoppy image of packaging. Unused price circle at this area. Hand-lettered text includes "It Shoots - Harmless Rubber Bands - Loads Of Fun!" and "Free! With Every Package Of Burry's Hopalong Cassidy Cookies - No Box Tops! No Waiting! Get Yours Now!" Sheet has vertical fold at center and some scattered aging due to glue, but art remains clean and bright. Pin holes at left corners. VF overall. Second sheet features original art of shelf sign featuring similar text and unused price circle. Vertical fold at center w/some scattered aging, more moderate around art. Scattered lt. margin wear w/pinholes at left corners. Fine overall. Unique. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
