Item Description
22x28" half-sheet "Style A" poster for the original release of the classic 1956 MGM Sci-Fi film directed by Fred M. Wilcox and starring Walter Pidgeon, Anne Francis, and Leslie Nielsen as well as Robby the Robot, one of the first movie robots that was more than just a mechanical tin can on legs. Classic poster depicts Robby the Robot carrying unconscious woman, w/Pidgeon at left and Nielsen w/Francis at right above inset film scene. Poster has been folded into quarters and is evenly aged. Pin holes at corners w/pulls at top corners and surface paper lifts at bottom corners from tape removal. Poster shows some scattered handling wear w/a few small margin tears and 1" split at center right fold crease. Lower left has some corner foxing. Tape repair on back of right corner. VG/Fine but would make for nice framed display.
