22x28" half-sheet "Style B" poster for the original release of the classic 1956 MGM Sci-Fi film directed by Fred M. Wilcox and starring Walter Pidgeon, Anne Francis, and Leslie Nielsen as well as Robby the Robot, one of the first movie robots that was more than just a mechanical tin can on legs. Classic poster depicts Robby the Robot carrying unconscious woman, w/inset photo of Nielsen w/Francis at right above inset film scene. Poster has vertical fold at center, shows moderate handling wear and is evenly aged. Pin holes at top corners. .25" spot of staining to Nielsen's chin and a number of tears ranging from .5" to .75" along left margin, none infringing upon image area. VG overall, but image area remains strong would make for nice framed display.
