Item Description
14.25x21" thin artboard has pen and ink original art for page 7 of "Whiz Comics" #123, published by Fawcett Publications, July 1950. Page features six panels, showing group of interstellar thieves fleeing in spaceship w/crate upon crate of stolen "Uranium Coinage." There are shocked to find they are being chased by Captain Marvel, who first appears on their monitor and then flies effortlessly into their exhaust flames. Second to last panel shows the aliens attempting to ram Captain Marvel w/the pointed steel tip of their spaceship, which bends on Captain Marvel's chest. Captain Marvel appears (albeit small) in three panels. Top margin has "Fawcett Publication" inkstamp w/handwritten "Whiz" title and issue number. Center right margin has some editorial notations that have been scribbled out. Single pinhole at top left. Lower right has some paper residue, but does not affect art, which remains clean and Exc.
