Item Description
Complete 4.75x7.25x10-5/8" deep 1 lb. 2 oz. size cereal box w/paper wrapper has back panel offer for "Space Patrol Periscope" (see item #1707) that was available for 25¢ and one box top. Back panel also has offer for "Hydrogen Ray Gun Ring" that features glow-in-the-dark firing cap and swivel base. Box has small stamped price on top and 1.5x1.5" L-shaped puncture at top right of front panel used to remove contents, box is o/w sealed as issued. Wrapper has some scattered aging/wear and box is Fine overall w/back remaining very displayable. Rare and desirable box. Comes w/"Hydrogen Ray Gun Ring" that was issued as a Space Patrol premium in 1954. Base design includes rocketship, star and planet designs along w/moon face. Large plastic gun on top w/glow end cap that pulls off to reveal viewing lens at the rear of gun. Interior view is simply black specks on a gray bkg. meant to represent hydrogen atoms. Great design. Ring retains brilliant, bright luster and glows. Mint and as nice as these come. 3x3.5" four-page folder advertises other Space Patrol premiums, w/one premium shown per page. These include - "Cosmic Rocket Launcher, Man-From-Mars Totem Head, Hydrogen Ray Gun Ring" and "Space Patrol Outer Space Helmet." Premium requirements for each is listed. Evenly aged w/moderate handling wear, Fine, Scarce. The ultimate lot for one of the all-time classic premium rings.
