Item Description
8" long nicely designed w/spacesuit-clad driver seated in convertible which has outer space images on hood/sides including flying saucer, space satellite and rocketship. Plated bumpers, headlights/taillights and grille. Missing one tin litho hubcap. Unmarked but made in Japan by Ichiko, 1950s. Friction works well and as car moves along, spaceman's arm raises/lowers gun and clicking/firing noise is produced. Plated parts retain much luster. Windshield "glass" is original, windshield frame was repaired by Tin Toy Works, Allentown, PA. Driver's helmet shows wear and hood has some scattered oxidation. Fine overall. Wonderful concept and design.
