Item Description
1.5x2.25" Cuban card produced for the Aguilitas Cigarette brand and a follow-up to the 1924-1925 series. The baseball cards are a subset featuring 37 players from the Cuban Professional League. This extensive 900 card set also featured movie and stage stars, boxers, soccer players and other subjects.

Marsans played winter baseball in the Cuban League from 1905 to 1928 and was a Major League outfielder from 1911 to 1918. He played with the Cincinnati Reds from 1911 to 1914, the St. Louis Terriers from 1914 to 1915, and with the St. Louis Browns and New York Yankees between 1916 and 1918. He was one of ten players inducted into the Cuban Baseball HOF in its 1939 inaugural class. Designated by SGC as being from the "Richard Merkin Collection" and comes with Hake's COA.
