Item Description
3.5x5.5" vintage glossy postcard depicts a young black baseball player in full uniform posed in front of a wooden fence. Notation on back of postcard reads "Slagle, Louisiana Negro Ball Player 1908". The AZO stamp box on the back, however, dates the postcard to 1924-49 so the player identification may not be correct. Postcard back was addressed but never mailed out. Exc. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
