Item Description
3-3/8x5.25" vintage matte postcard depicting twelve ballplayers and a batboy/mascot along with baseball equipment of the era. The All Army team is noted on the front of the postcard as the champions of the Manila, Philippines League for the 1912-1914 seasons. Grover Baichley, star pitcher for All Army would go on to play in the Major Leagues, although his career would be limited to only four games. "PI" appears written in red ink on the front, bottom margin of the postcard. Back has a name and address stamped but remains postally unused. Fine. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
