Item Description
3.5x5.5" vintage matte postcard depicting future Major League Baseball player, William M. Werber. Postcard was part of a team set depicting just about every member of the 1932 Buffalo Bisons. Werber was a standout for the Buffalo club during 1932, batting .289 and clubbing 17 homers. He would go on to have an 11 year MLB career from 1930-42, primarily with Boston, Philadelphia and Cincinnati, which saw him hit .271 with a total of 78 homers, 539 RBI's, 875 runs scored and 215 stolen bases. Postcard has a divided back, which remains blank and unused. Exc. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
