Item Description
3.5x5.5" vintage glossy postcard depicting eighteen ballplayers and a batboy. Photographer's stamp in the lower right-hand corner indicates Wolfe's Camera and Photography, Topeka. Player identifications are: (Standing L to R) Bonczek, Pahmahmie, Dean, Boerger, Wise, Brosnan, Hickman, Bright, Neiman, (Kneeling L to R) Bohannion, Rogers, Hoskin, Bellino, Drake, Adametz, Beery, McConnell, Annen, (Front) Batboy Benton. Club was a member of the Class C Western Association and affiliated with the Chicago Cubs MLB organization. The Owls finished in first place with a club record of 74-44. Postcard exhibits significant creasing on the upper right-hand corner and has been postally used on the back with a, August 9, 1951 cancellation date. Fine.
