Item Description
3.5x5.5" vintage glossy postcard depicting 14 ballplayers in full uniform, posing inside a baseball stadium. Photography credit indicates "E.A. Montzer". Bottom margin of the postcard indicates that this ball club was the pennant winning team for the Class B 1908 Central League season, finishing with a final record of 84-56. Six future Major League Baseball players starred for this team with the most recognizable being minor league pitching star, Tex Covington. Back of the postcard is divided and includes a hand written message on one side and address on the other and has been postally cancelled with a date stamp of September 10, 1908. Exc. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
