Item Description
3.5x5.25" vintage matte postcard depicting composite images of 14 ballplayers in full uniform surrounding their team manager, John Flood located in the center. All player identifications have been printed underneath their respective ovals but most have been obscured due to fading. The 1908 Mansfield ball club played in the Class D Ohio State League finishing in fourth place with a record of 78-78. Two of the club's ballplayers would go on to play in the Major Leagues, Harvey Bailey and Les Channell. Front of postcard has a couple of light stains in the lower right-hand corner, back is divided and postally used but cancellation stamp has been smudged, obscuring the date stamp. VF. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
