Item Description
3-3/8x5.5" vintage glossy postcard depicting composite images of 15 ballplayers in uniform along with three gentlemen in formal attire. Photographer's credit in the lower margin indicates "Monroe Photo, 1736 Napier, St." The 1908 Vancouver (British Columbia) Beavers finished in first place in the Class B Northwestern League with a record of 85-62. Managed by Richard Dickson, the club would produce four eventual MLB players including: Ham Hyatt, Lou Nordyke, Del Paddock & Joe Sugden. All individuals are identified below their respective photos. Postcard back is divided and unused. Upper left and lower right corners of the postcard have pinholes visible, left front edge has visible foxing along with minor corner wear present. VG/Fine. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
