Item Description
8x10" original glossy photo depicting the entire 1932 Brooklyn Dodgers (NL) ball club posed inside the baseball stadium at their Spring Training facility located in Clearwater, FL. The 1932 Dodgers would go on to finish in third place in the National League with a record of 81-73. All individuals pictured here have been identified at the bottom of the photo along with the notation "Clearwater 1932 - Bklyn. B.B. Club". Amazingly a total of six future National Baseball Hall of Famers are pictured here: Hack Wilson, Casey Stengel, Max Carey, Dazzy Vance, Waite Hoyt and Al Lopez. A seventh HOF"er, George "Highpockets" Kelly would play an important role for this club but is not pictured here. However, another individual deserving Hall of Fame consideration is included in the photo, Francis "Lefty" O'Doul (whose name is written in pencil on the back of the photo). Image quality of this photo is phenomenal and condition is also fantastic with the only thing of note being a stain on the back, upper right-hand corner. VF/Exc. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
