Item Description
8-7/8x11-5/8" vintage Cuban sports magazine dated September 1951. This monthly publication highlights various different types of sports along with heroic individuals and championship teams. Well known for the numerous pictures that are included with every issue, Fotos provided some of the best Negro League ballplayer images and news stories of the era. This particular magazine presents a beautiful image of Orestes "Minnie" Minoso on the front cover along with a cartoon highlighting him inside. This particular issue presents very little baseball coverage as it was out of season at this time. Primary sports covered here are soccer, swimming and boxing. Magazine exhibits minor overall wear but presents very nicely. VG. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
