Item Description
3.5x5.5" vintage silver gelatin postcard depicts 12 team members in full uniform posing inside period automobile. Burlington Baseball Club 1906" caption at bottom of photo. "Gilbert" photographer's credit in the lower right corner. Handwritten note has been added in ink along right border. The 1906 Burlington Pathfinders were members of the Class D - Iowa League, winning the league title w/a final record of 83-39 under manager Ned Egan. Two members of this ball club would go on to play Major League baseball - Tom Daley and Cy Neighbors. Some lt. corner tip wear but o/w VF. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
