Item Description
4x5.75" vintage postcard from premium set issued by the Wheaties cereal depicted 24 different ballplayers from the Minneapolis Millers minor league baseball club's second consecutive season. Postcard features photo image of star first baseman Joe Hauser in action pose and bears facsimile signature. Divided postcard-style back pictures "Wheaties" cereal box at left w/advertising slogan and address area at right w/"VOID" stamped over the blank postage stamp box. Hauser would have a nice but brief MLB career w/the Philadelphia Athletics during the 1920s, finishing w/a career batting average of .284 w/80 homers and 356 RBIs. Cardstock has evenly yellowed w/age but is o/w Exc. Scarce. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
