Item Description
3.5x5.5" vintage glossy postcard depicting Washington Nationals youngster Jose Valdivelso. There were three different series of Don Wingfield postcards produced between 1955 and 1961; this being from the first series, which included only Washington Nationals ballplayers. All identifying information is located on front of postcard at bottom. These postcards were sold at Griffith Stadium as souvenirs during this time period. Valdivelso had a brief five year career w/Washington as a middle infielder. Postcard has faint vertical crease at center along w/lt., even corner wear and some foxing visible on the blank, unused back. Fine. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
