Item Description
2.75x4.5" vintage deckled edge snapshot photo depicting three of the star ballplayers from the 1930s New York Cubans baseball team posed inside a baseball stadium. Pictured from left to right are - Jose Maria Fernandez (manager), Pancho Coimbre and Rudy "Rodolfo" Fernandez. Roberto Clemente said Coimbre was a better player than he was. Fernandez was one of the top pitchers in the Negro Leagues throughout the 1930s and early 1940s. Back of photo contains photographer's stamped notation "283P." VF. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
