5x7" vintage matte photo depicting 10 members of the World Champion 1931 St. Louis Cardinals baseball club along w/one gentleman in formal attire. Image is a reverse negative as jerseys read "St. Louis" backwards. Back of photo identifies the date as 1931 along w/the following individuals - Pepper Martin (front row, third from left), Jim Bottomley HOF (front row, second from right), Rip Collins (back row, far left), Frank Frisch HOF (back row, second from left) and Jimmie Wilson (back row, far right). Second baseman, Frank Frisch finished his career w/a batting average of .316 along w/105 home runs; 1,244 RBIs; 1,532 runs scored and 419 stolen bases. First baseman, Jim Bottomley's final career stats read - .310 average; 219 home runs; 1,422 RBIs; 1,177 runs and 58 steals. Sepia image quality of photo is excellent w/a few scattered small border tears, several pinholes at corners and lt. foxing on back. VG. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
