Item Description
5x7" vintage silver gelatin photo depicting 14 ballplayers in full uniform along w/three gentlemen in formal attire posed in front of a brick building, possibly the university campus. Period baseball equipment is visible in front. Fordham University was a well-noted baseball power among the college ranks during the early 1920s and future National Baseball Hall of Famer Frankie Frisch attended the school and played baseball there. We do not believe that Frisch is pictured here. Back of photo has handwritten pencil notation reading "Fordham University Baseball Team 1921 Or 1922." Photo exhibits superior image quality and presents very nicely, there are two small corner clips to both upper corners. Fine. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
