Item Description
7-5/8x9-5/8" vintage glossy silver gelatin photo depicts seven ballplayers in full uniform posed inside baseball stadium. "W & W Photo Service, 322 ½ Beale Ave., Memphis, Tennessee" photographer's stamp on back. A star player for the Memphis club from 1947-50, Pedro Formental is pictured prominently here in full body pose, standing second from left. Other notable individuals present here include - Orlando Varona (center), Carlos Colas (third from right) and Cowan Hyde (far right). Image quality is superb. Slight margin trim. Photo has a .5" tears at top, center and several scattered creases/surface wrinkles. VG. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
