Item Description
13x15.25" paper store sign mounted to 16-5/8x19-3/8" board promoted 1939 Muffets cereal "Buck Rogers Whistling Rocket Ship" premium that was free with purchase of two packages of Muffets Toasted Whole Wheat Biscuits. Buck Rogers portrait at top left. Rocketship was comprised of stiff die-cut cardboard/stiff paper and came w/tin "Screamer Whistle." Premium is shown "Actual Size - 12-1/2" Long" and bottom portion advertises Muffets product w/unused pricing circle at lower right. Sign has horizontal fold at center as issued and shows some edge/corner tip wear and some creases at bottom. A few spots of moisture staining at pricing circle, but o/w still VF for display. Board that sign is mounted on shows obvious margin wear w/moisture staining, edge chips/tears and some surface paper residue. Lower right corner has large portion or surface paper missing. This could be easily matted out for display. Nice sign for this rare Buck Rogers premium.
