This 1908 Chicago Cubs ball club won their third consecutive National League championship, finishing with a record of 99-55 under National Baseball Hall of Fame player/manager Frank Chance. Chicago would go on to defeat the Detroit Tigers in five games to take the World Series once again. These 1908 Cubs were led by four National Baseball Hall of Famers: Frank Chance (MGR/1B), Mordecai "Three Fingers" Brown (SP), Joe Tinker (3B) and Johnny Evers (2B).  A few tiny tan dots on each side which occurred in the original printing of the photographic paper and not the result of moisture stain.
