Item Description
3.5x5.5" vintage matte postcard depicting 14 ballplayers in full uniform inside oval enclosures. Printed caption reads "Lakeside Baseball Team 1912". We have been unable to verify the existence of any professional club matching this team so, most likely, a semi-pro club that would take on local town ball teams. All ballplayers have been identified below their respective photos. Image quality of the postcard is superb with no significant condition issues to note. Divided postcard back remains blank and unused. Artura stamp box dates the postcard to 1908-24, which is consistent with the subject matter. VF. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
