Item Description
3.5x5-3/8" vintage matte postcard depicting 11 ballplayers in full uniform posed in a single file line aboard a ship with a ship's crew member visible in the background. Photographer's credit appears in lower right-hand corner "Weathers & Corder". Printed caption in lower left-hand corner reads "1913-U.S.S. West Virginia's Ball Team. Champion Of The Pacific Reserve Fleet". Image quality is very good, there are no significant condition issues to note. Divided back remains blank and unused. AZO stamp box dates the postcard to 1904-18, which is consistent with the subject matter present. VF. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
