Item Description
3-3/8x5.25" vintage matte postcard depicting 12 ballplayers in full uniform along with two gentlemen dressed in formal attire posed on a field with a couple of children visible along the right margin. Hand written notation on back reads "Desada del 30, Club Marianao", referring to the professional Marianao ball club, which is incorrect. Unfortunately, we have not been able to identify any of the individuals pictured here but would make for an interesting research project. AZO stamp box dates the postcard to 1910-1930, which is consistent with the subject matter present. Postcard exhibits cornet wear with a 5/8" piece clipped from the upper right-hand corner. Moderate foxing throughout is visible on divided back. VG. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
